Hi! I’m Diya Chaudhary, a communications and journalism student at Santa Clara University. I have a strong passion for telling stories that bring together cultures, amplify unheard voices, and challenge the difficult topics we face in our world today.

As an Indian American, I have always collaborated between worlds. This duality sparked my curiosity about identity, and how we find where we belong in society. Journalism is my way of exploring questions that many are afraid to ask, not from a distance, but through conversation. I always emphasize the importance of communication, and listening to other’s perspectives.

My work focuses on social issues, gender justice, and cross-cultural storytelling. I report with empathy, integrity, and accountability. Whether I’m writing a feature, talking to local community members, or investigating higher powers, my goal stays the same: to tell the truth, and to bring light to everyone’s voices.

I aspire to work in journalism, but want to continue to explore all aspects of communication. I want to explore long-form reporting, documentary storytelling, and editorial writing in order to strengthen my skills. I believe that journalism isn’t just about delivering facts. It’s about building understanding and finding ways to connect to one another as human beings.

This is my journey so far, and I’m just getting started.
